Our Landscape Lighting System
The first step in your lighting system is the planning. We will come to your home and if requested, set up a free night demonstration. We will walk the property with you and discuss your wishes. We will then point out elements which we feel should be highlighted in the design, and go over fixture placement with you. You will then receive a detailed design plan that we feel will best meet your needs.
The Installation process involves little trenching and digging to ensure very little aggravation to existing landscaping.
Transformer
We prefer to use stainless steel multi tap transformers in our systems. They provide accurate adjustment capabilities to allow proper voltage output in long runs. With this transformer and our wiring methods, providing proper voltage to the lamps is guaranteed.
Wiring
The Hub Method is the latest in wiring innovations. It allows us to have fewer splices on each run of lights, thus having a far less chance of splice problems and voltage loss. If for example you had 5 lights on a run, all five lights would have their own 25' leader wire and they would all splice into the main wire in the same spot. Each splice is then capped with a bronze cover.
Voltage Adjustment
After initial installation, we go back and double check each fixture and make sure it has the proper voltage output. Before final installation we will make any needed voltage adjustments.
Documentation
All fixtures, wiring and the transformer are documented to easily identify each wire run and each fixture with lamp size, beam spread, and date.
